What Time Is It?
All of us are on a journey to impact others. It is not about us, it is about others. Paul is pushing us to not stay the same. We can not stop growing in Christ. It isn't over it yet because we still have people that need to be reached. He is constantly transforming us.
Jesus compares us to salt since back in that day salt preserved things. Our mission is to preserve others. We are the salt of the earth. Wo we are and what we do and who we know is not a mistake. Our interests and talents are ours for a reason. We are just where God wants us to be and it has nothing to do with us. We all matter. The Gospel is not "Do right by ourselves.". It's "Do right by the Holy Spirit." we can't do. This all by ourselves. The Holy Spirit is here to help us. it's our Jo to do our part and the Holy Spirit's job to help us finish. If we don't partner with the Holy Spirit He can't help us finish.
Some behaviors halt, pause, destroy, limit, or prevent this ministry from happening.
To show the love of Christ to others, we must look away from whatever is dominating. Our attention and needs to turn towards them. How do we make. People feel? Are we showing them that they matter to us? God isn't just "putting up" with us. He reall is interested in us
His love for us is not dependent on whether or not we are "good".
These things will hamper your partnership with the Holy Spirit. Will it help our relationship with Him? Our behavior can impact this relationship.
If there is a tug between the Holy Spirit and the world which will you choose? It's either one or the other. If we find ourselves excusing certain types of sin then we may have. Left the mission. Instead of defending it, ask God to get us back on the right road. Do not whine about it and make yourself a victim, DO something about it and get moving!!! MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY EVERY DAY.
Don't get so. Caught up in rights and wrongs, focus on living in a partnership with the Holy Spirit. are we living a spirit-filled life??
Eph 4:29. We are so critical of others. It hinders our relationship with God. Jesus did not point fingers at others who sinned. We shouldn't either. We cannot constantly build ourselves up and knock others down. Even sarcasm shouldn't hurt anyone but rather "benefit those who listen".
Hater: someone who doesn't like to see the successes of others and enjoy pointing out flaws and negatives. Jesus points out all of people's positives yet all we do is point out others' negatives. This is NOT being a Christian!!!
"How can Christ be in the heart when the devil has taken possession of the tongue?" -Thomas Watson
Talk about others as if they were in the room with us. People who don't believe in Christianity can't be argued out of something they weren't argued into.
We need to. Be light givers in the midst of darkness. For every insult to us, give another compliment back. Build others up and look for the good in them and refuse to indulge and participate in any conversation that knocks down others.
Be generous with encouragement and stingy with discouragement.
IT'S ALWAYS 4:29!!!! http://glo.to/l?1=49004029&2
