getting excited in faith/ kids
getting excited in our faith is easy during the good times but in times of back to back tramas (losing my husband while pregnant, becoming disabled, losing my job, ect. ) its becoming a lot harder to get excited. I haven't even been able to teach my youth group or even go to church in months. when it seems like your whole world is shattering, how do you get excited? maybe God was trying to tell me through my 3 year old that I'm not alone, he is still here, & does still care! I was crying and she said mommy why are you crying? to which I replied, cause I'm hurting baby. she asked me if I loved her. of course, I said, with all my heart! then she asked, do you love Jesus? once again I said yes baby! with all my heart! and with little tear filled eyes she said, then please don't cry mommy it makes us sad.... as she started to cry. it was so hard to hold back the tears for her, but I had to be strong. we sat and talked and I finally got her to smile. as I thought about it, I had to get excited! my baby, is already speaking to God and God through her!!! WOW! most people wont experiance that till they're older and some never will! but there she is in pullups speaking the words of Christ! that's something special! I couldn't help but find my excitement in the middle of the pain! we as Christians and parents have to work harder to keep our faith and find excitement no matter what were dealing with, we must have a child-like faith! its amazing how God can reach us and sometimes even more amazing through whom! we must pass that on so we can reach more people even when our world seems so dreary.
