2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
This passage seems like it is out of place. However it is not, so why is it here? For the corinthians to open their hearts to Pauk they must open their hearts to Christ anew.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers means the Christian because of his union with Christ is now a new animal not to be linked with spiritual opposites, interms of values that are antithetical to our own values. You can't scramble the yolk (Christian values aand beliefs) and the white (the world's beliefs and values). What Paul has more in mind is the association with the worship of other gods and demons. The Corinthian church apparently still had an unhealthy attachment to these idols and other gods. WE EITHER HARVEST SATANS FIELD OR ARE LABORERS FOR CHRIST.
The differences in spiritual values are complete opposites like day and night or black and white. THEY ARE COMPLETE SPIRITUAL OPPOSITES!!! Light and darkness cannot coexist. Light chases the darkness out. How does the temple of God agree with idols? We are the temple of God. This is truth defining reality. God dwells in us, lives in us, and walks with us. When we joined Christ our bondage to sin was broken so why would we want to go back to that old bondage?
We must cleanse ourselves from all that is not of Christ and replace it with holiness and reverential fear of God. We shoulds stand out in this world as lights in the darkness. Brownie example.
Which harvest am I laboring for? Christ's or satan's?
