Increase your confidence & hope
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God-you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration-what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. (Psalm 139:13-16 MSG)
"I know the plans I have for you," announces the Lord. "I want you to enjoy success. I do not plan to harm you. I will give you hope for the years to come. Then you will call out to me. You will come and pray to me. And I will listen to you. When you look for me with all your heart, you will find me. "I will be found by you," announces the Lord. "And I will bring you back from where you were taken as prisoners........" (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIRV)
You will do everything you have promised;
LORD, your love is eternal. Complete the work that you have begun. (Psalm 138:8 GNT)
The above scriptures serve as the foundation for having healthy self esteem and hope for your future. In Ps. 139: 13-16 it explains how intimately God knows us. It reassures us that our body shape/size, our hair length/texture, our facial features, our height, our personality, our intellect, and spirituality are just as God desired them to be. We shouldn't compare ourselves to others because no one is better. It is our job to ensure we are healthy, but wishing we looked like someone else implies God made an error in our creation. Today look in a full length mirror and declare "I am the marvelously made, and I don't need validation from man, because God has already validated me!"
In Jer. 29: 11-14 we are assured that God has great plans for us. If we seek Him we will find Him and He will be ready, willing, and able to give us His best. We have to stop settling just because it's easy or quicker. It's time out for being mediocre God wants us upgraded, it first starts with us changing how we think and what we believe. It states in the scripture that God will bring us back from where we were taken as prisoners; I took this literally and figuratively. Some of us may have become prisoners of money, sex, drugs, depression, loneliness, rejection, etc but we are being freed now!
Ps. 138:8 is making a declaration to the Lord. Declaring such requires faith, so even when it doesn't look like Jer. 29:11-14 and Ps. 138:8 and we don't feel like Ps. 139:13-16 we will NOT be moved by our emotions to give in. I've learned endurance requires a resolve to never give up regardless of the obstacles faced, die trying!
Blessed because I am a blessing!
