Continuation of A MONTH OF PINPOINT Prayers
Verse: "May those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me,O Lord, the Lord Almighty; may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me, O God of Israel" (Ps. 69:6)
Prayer: Holy God, let our marriage always glorify and honor your name. Make yourself famous in us. We pray that your people would never have reason to be ashamed or embarrassed because of anything in our marriage.
Verse: "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things" (Phil. 4:8)
Prayer: Holy God, make our home holy. Help us as a couple to reflect on and talk about things that are pure, right, holy, just, and worthy of your holy name.
Verse: "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthy things" (Col. 3:1-2)
Prayer: Dear Jesus, our eyes and hearts are set on you. Please give us a marriage vision for things eternal -- things that are part of your kingdom -- and not for things of the earth.
Verse: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" (Deut.6:5)
Prayer: Lord, you are our God. We will love you as a family with all of our heart, soul, and strength.
Verse: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Rom. 8:28)
Prayer: Holy Father, because we are called by your name and purpose, we pray that you will cause all things in our marriage -- joy and sadness, blessing and pain, victory and defeat -- to work together for good.
Verse: "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it" (Isa. 30:21)
Prayer: Holy Father, please guide our decision making, As we go through our lives together, help us to be attentive and obedient to your voice.
Verse: "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock" (Matt. 7:24)
Prayer: Holy God, make us wise. Help us to build our marriage on the unshakable foundation of your Word.
Verse: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jer. 29:11)
Prayer: Holy Father, thank you for leading and guiding us in marriage. Please fulfill your great plan for us, giving us hope and a future.
Verse: "Just as you excel in everything -- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us -- see that you also excel in this grace of giving" (2 Cor. 8:7)
Prayer: Father God, let our marriage be excellent in the things that matter. Teach us to excel in our faith, in Christ-honoring speech, in knowledge of your ways, in our passion for you, and in the blessed privilege of giving to others.
Verse: "The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife" ( 1 Cor. 7:3-4)
Prayer: Lord God, your Word teaches that our bodies belong to you first and then to each other. Help us to satisfy each other and honor you in our sexual relationship.
Verse: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Gal. 5:22-23)
Prayer: Father, may the sweet fruit of your Holy Spirit -- love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control -- be manifested for your glory in our marriage.
Verse: "The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs" (1 Tim. 6:10)
Prayer: Lord God, we know that you are the source of all that we have. We understand that the pursuit of money and material gain can kill our faith and destroy our marriage. Please protect us from the love of money. Help us to always keep it in proper perspective.
Verse: "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain" (Ps. 127:1)
Prayer: Lord God, our marriage belongs to you. Please be its chief architect and builder. Protect it from our own sins and vanities. Watch over our marriage and protect our home.
Verse: "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold" (Eph. 4:26-27)
Prayer: Dear Jesus, teach us to have appropriate and healthy anger. Help us to not let our anger toward each other simmer or grow into bitterness. Protect us from satanic strongholds that could develop from our unforgiveness
Verse: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace" (Num. 6:24-26)
Prayer: Lord God, we humbly seek your blessing, favor, anointing, and protection on our marriage. Smile on us and be gracious to us, according to your Word. Watch over us and give us peace.
