We are blessed to serve a God that makes promises that never gets broken.
Every historical book states there was a world wide flood, just like it was stated in Genesis 6
The bible makes it clear that God makes and keeps his promises
God made an initial promise to Abraham that threats tried to derail these promises. It is just like the promises that were made to us. We need to stand on he promises of God.
Satan will provide threats to the promises of God. We need to ask ourselves are standing on the promises of God.......... Do we trust in the promises?
God blessed Abraham with a beautiful wife. While wandering he came across a King he believed would kill him for her. So he told her to tell people she was his sister.
And it happens again.
Abraham has to fight 5 kings to save Lot.
Then God promises Abraham a child.
Everything happening to Abraham are threats to Gods promise. Therefore God is not going to let anything to happen that will jeopardize the promises made.
We need to understand a promise delayed is not a promise denied/ broken.
There will always be threats on Gods promise, but we need to trust God.
We need to understand all promises made in the bible are not promises made to everybody.
There a lot of promises in the bible that have conditions. We need to meet the conditions to receive those promises.
We need to find out if those conditional promises apply to me.
Can I wait on God? Just because the promise is not answered immediately doesn't mean it isn't going to be kept! Can we wait on God?
