Serve with humility the gospel
Here we see 4 motivations from salvation. This is an encouragement in Christ. We have been rescued and set free. There is comfort from Christ's love. He has given His life for us. His love has been unconditional. We may not be good at keeping our promises but His promises are sure. We have fellowship together in the Spirit. We have that sense of belonging when we are saved. Our hearts are tender and compassionate because our saviour has been tender and compassionate to us.
We are encouraged to be single minded. We are to agree wholeheartedly with each other. This is not a worldly ecumenical call but a call to agree wholeheartedly with those of us who are truly saved. There is to be purpose in our unity. We are to be united in the gospel. We are to be gospel driven fellowship.
We are not to be selfish. We are not to be other centredness. We are to be free from rivalry or conceit. We are to count others more important than we are ourselves. We are to be humble. We can be so wrapped up with and in ourselves that we forget about the needs of others. We need to get a view of Jesus and what He has done for us and share that with others. Are we arrogant Christians? Have we a high view of ourselves? Think of others as better than ourselves.
Do you know The Lord Jesus as your saviour? Jesus Christ went to that cross at Calvary and hung and suffered there to take the punishment for sin. Have you asked Him your forgiveness and trusted Him? If not, why not?
