Choose The Right Friends
"Most of us instinctively know the “right they” in our lives, but we don’t always pursue those relationships. God wants us to have the kind of relationships that pour into our lives and give us fuel in our tanks. Just as Jonathan and David had a strong bond and deep love between them, God desires that for us.
Think about people in your life that may be flying under the radar because they are humble. Look for people that are constantly encouraging others, people that easily forgive wrongs and people who are following God’s will in their lives. These are the “right they”. These are the people who will help you get to the next level in your relationship with God and ultimately have a full and abundant life."
As Christians we have to choose the right friends or positive relationships in order to get further in Christ. In this walk there's so many obstacles that the enemy throws in our way to try to knock us off track & even our bad choices in friends. Friends that bear good fruits are the right ones who we should connect with, for they helps us grow & motivates us in Christ. I know it's hard to let some friends go that you have been with so long, but we have to understand that if we're trying to make it right with God then that's our only choice. For 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Don't be misled, bad company corrupts good character.." Never think you'll be alone, because God will bring the right ones across your path that you'll truly need in this walk. Good friends help you produce & grow, but the bad will distort your growth in Christ & your walk to be barren; no productivity.
Father, today I desire to choose the right relationships in my life. Please give me wisdom to know how to find the “right they”. I may have not made good choices in the past, but I will not let my past define me. I am deciding today to start choosing the right friendships for my life so that I can begin to live the full and abundant life you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
