Deut 2:31 - His part Our part
It's interesting how God tells the Israelites that He's delivered certain nations/people over to them but them in the same breath tells them to go and fight. Or how He promises that certain land will be theirs but then commands them to go take it. Or even how He promises to provide food for them but delivers it in such a way that the people have to travel to get it and have to work to make it edible. The principle is that God has already done all the providing - He's already done all that He needs to do. All we have to do is our part. When He told them to go and take a land the land wouldn't have been granted to them if they weren't willing to go and take it! If He promised to deliver a people to them then those people wouldn't have been destroyed if they wouldn't have gone up and destroyed them. If the Israelites weren't willing to "make" their food then they would not have experienced the nourishment that God had provided.
