- Psalm 28:9 (NIV)
To you, Lord , I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit. (Psalm 28:1 NIV)
God doesn't have selective hearing like we do! We choose to not listen when we don't want to l. But God hears His children! He's quiet for His own reasons! Even when we're crying our in desperation!
Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place. (Psalm 28:2 NIV)
I doubt He wants to hear only about our troubles! Why not lay our troubles down and bring our worship to Him?
Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts. (Psalm 28:3 NIV)
He cares, He knows, but can we put that aside when we worship?
Or do we just want Him to take care of business for us?
Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve. (Psalm 28:4 NIV)
Be my hit man God! Repay them for what they've done to me!
Or would He rather hear "I trust you God with everything! Work out Your will in all of this?"
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
(Psalm 28:7 NIV)
There's something about praise that just gets Gods attention I think!
Praise be to the Lord , for he has heard my cry for mercy. (Psalm 28:6 NIV)
Is it that He moves faster, or we're more content with how He chooses to move?
We're in good hands people!
Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever. (Psalm 28:9 NIV)
We ARE his own children!
He teaches us there is a time when we should be quiet!
Sometimes HE's loud...so loud it scares the hell right out of us!
Thats just the way Fathers are, sometimes loud... and sometimes quiet!
