Do We Need the Resurrection?
- Matthew 28:2 (ESV)

- Colossians 2:12 (ESV)
- Colossians 3:1 (ESV)
Just because a person was baptized does not mean the intended result will take place.
-Guy who had to in order to marry his girlfriend
-Girl at 13 who's friends were all doing it
-14 yr old caught up in youth rally emotion
-Person who was drunk when the did it
There was no real change in any of those peoples lives, and that is the main missing ingredient. They experience no joy in their Christian life because they've never been resurrected. Their life before and after baptism is exactly the same.
Maybe the reason joy is missing is because you're not living the new life. Those above examples did not have a clear understanding of what was taking place. We can start all over! A new life is promised if you surrender your life to Him.
Life is like a vapor...a mist. We will all be forgotten. Yet some invest everything on this short life. If the Lord is not in your life, what do you really have?
Since your new birth as a Christian, have you become a new person? Is your life any different from your friends who are not?
The only place to get that new life is through Christ.
