Lev 10:9 - Don't drink it
This verse is the best verse against alcohol consumption by Christians. Here is an express command given by God directly to Aaron, the high priest, to not drink any wine while he's ministering. While he's in the tabernacle doing the work of his ministry he must remain free of any alcoholic beverage. This command came after his two sons, who were most likely drunk, were killed while offering a strange sacrifice to God.
In Revelation we see that God has made us to be a Kingdom of Priests and that our bodies, being the new temples of the holy spirit, is what houses this new priestly calling. Our "ministry" takes place every second, minute, hour, and day of the year - we are "always" in the ministry - every one of us, and we are to be ministering constantly. Therefore we cannot let strong drink even touch our lips. It's a principle derived from this story in the OT when God spoke clearly to Aaron concerning it.
I wrote this note specifically for my kids, so kiddos, if you're reading this - pay close attention! Proverbs also says "it is not for Kings to desire strong drink" - you are Kings, don't let any of your friends try to turn you into a peasant!
