1 But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob,he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
I was reading my reading plan on YouVersion, and this verse came up. This is an amazing verse. Let me break it down, the author of this book Isaiah son of Amoz, and his name means “The Lord saves.” (So pretty cool guy) Now that you have some background we can jump into the verse, so to make it easy it's pretty much saying you will go through troubles in life, junk will happen, but the problems will not overtake you, and you will never be alone. That's amazing! AND, God has already done these things with Moses and the red sea, parting the water and letting them walk through or the famous Bible story in the book of Daniel Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. If you're not familiar with this story, the three men in this story refused to bow to the Kings idols and where thrown into a furnace, but they where protected by God. Please forgive me if there’s any spelling errors, I’m a nursing student not an English major (:
