Overcome - Webster 1828 - Conquer, to vanquish, subdue, get the better of difficulty or obstacles.

Noun - State or condition - Something we “are” (overcome)
Verb - Action - Something we “do”

"OVERCOMING WHAT WE SEE BY FOCUSING ON WHAT WAS SAID"
V17-20 Spy out: (God wanted them to See something)

1) The people - Strong or weak
2) Cities - Camps or strongholds
3) The land - Rich or poor

BE OF GOOD COURAGE!

Courage - Webster - Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty
Phrase “Flows with milk and honey” - Has an abundance of food
People that were strong - Fierce, strong military capability to defend attacks

Cities that were fortified - Secured, inaccessible
Nevertheless(but) - Conjunction that goes between to opposing thoughts or positions.


We will often be faced with two opposing facts that are both true, the question is which one is going to be the truth that defines our actions.
We are well able to overcome - yakol - To be able, have power, might, and ability to endure and prevail
Overcome - Webster 1828 - Conquer, to vanquish, subdue, get the better of difficulty or obstacles.

Either we will overcome what we SEE by believing what He SAID or what He SAID will be overcome by what we SEE
Well able to overcome - yakol - To be able, have power, might, and ability to endure and prevail.
Let us go up - alah - To move upward, ascend, or to climb

Take Possession - yarash - To occupy by driving out previous tenants and possessing in their place.

Two part process to taking possession of new territory (habits, feelings, beliefs):

1) Removing or driving out current occupants
2) Replacing and Occupying what you want in its place
