"The Invitation"
The Ascension of Our Lord
Door #1 - The Israelites have forgotten what God has done for them.
Door #2 - An invitation to remember
Moses tells them "Remember hoe the Lord your God led you the entire way in the desert these forty years."
Prosperity can be dangerous. It can be so easy for us to become complacent, easy to forget the source of all these marvelous gifts. We are tempted to think we are poor, because someone around us has more money.
God loves you by giving his one and only Son, Jesus, so whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. He showed his love to you by sending his Son to this earth, so he could die your eternal death in your place. While you were still an ungrateful sinner, Christ died for you. That's love! It's not that we remember God, but that he still remembers us.
