"A Generous Heart”
The Sixth Sunday of Easter
Our generosity begins with God’s generosity.
“I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that He has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them.
“He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, [spouse] and children, land, animals, and all I have. He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.”

See God’s generosity:
- Exodus 16
- 1 Kings 17:7-16
- John 6:1-15
- John 1:1-16; 18-20
While greed can certainly stifle generosity, what is a more frequent troublemaker?
A generous heart is one filled with the Spirit.
You never have to do what God calls you to do on your own.
