Redemption in Christ
3#2 Cor. 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4just as #Rom. 8:28He chose us in Him #1 Pet. 1:2before the foundation of the world, that we should #Luke 1:75be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5#Acts 13:48; (Rom. 8:29)having predestined us to #John 1:12adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, #(1 Cor. 1:21)according to the good pleasure of His will, 6to the praise of the glory of His grace, #(Rom. 3:24)by which He made us accepted in #Matt. 3:17the Beloved.
7#(Heb. 9:12)In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to #(Rom. 3:24, 25)the riches of His grace 8which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9#(Rom. 16:25)having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure #(2 Tim. 1:9)which He purposed in Himself, 10that in the dispensation of #Gal. 4:4the fullness of the times #1 Cor. 3:22He might gather together in one #Eph. 3:15; (Phil. 2:9; Col. 1:16, 20)all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11#Rom. 8:17In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to #Is. 46:10the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12#2 Thess. 2:13that we #James 1:18who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
13In Him you also trusted, after you heard #John 1:17the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, #(2 Cor. 1:22)you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14#2 Cor. 5:5who is the guarantee of our inheritance #Rom. 8:23until the redemption of #(Acts 20:28)the purchased possession, #1 Pet. 2:9to the praise of His glory.
