Jako máme v jednom těle mnoho údů a všechny ty údy nemají stejný úkol, tak i my, i když je nás mnoho, jsme jedno tělo v Kristu, ale jednotlivě jsme údy jeden druhého. Máme rozdílné dary podle milosti, která nám byla dána: Máli někdo proroctví, ať ho užívá v souhlase s vírou. Máli službu, ať slouží. Jeli vyučující, ať učí. Máli dar povzbuzování, ať povzbuzuje. Kdo rozdává, ať rozdává upřímně. Kdo stojí v čele, ať je horlivý. Kdo prokazuje milosrdenství, ať to činí radostně.
