In a courtroom, a witness is called to testify based on personal knowledge of a case. Their credibility depends on their direct encounter with the truth. In the same way, witnessing for God is not built on assumptions or mere association; it flows from a genuine relationship with Him.

It is possible to appear religious without truly knowing God. The Word of God warns: “Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people” (2 Timothy 3:5, NIV). Outward expressions alone are not enough. God desires authenticity, not performance.

Before you can effectively witness for God, you must first know Him personally. This is more than attending services or engaging in activities; it is about a real encounter that transforms your life. When you truly know God, your witness becomes natural, bold, and impactful.

The Bible declares: “But the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32, NKJV). True exploits in God’s kingdom are born out of intimacy with Him. Your confidence, boldness, and effectiveness as a witness are rooted in your relationship with Christ.

Witnessing is not about saying the right words; it is about revealing the One you truly know.
