The Indescribable Gift

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” — 2 Corinthians 9:15 NKJV

What Gift Is This?

The unspeakable gift is the gift of Jesus Christ. Paul calls it indescribable because no human language can fully express its worth. This gift is God giving Himself, and everything else starts from here.

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus paid for our sins, defeated death, and gave us the opportunity to become children of God. How do you measure a gift like that? You can’t.

It is unspeakable because:

• It is undeserved — we did nothing to earn it (Romans 5:8).
• It is complete — nothing needs to be added (Hebrews 10:14).
• It is eternal — its benefits never expire (John 3:16).
• It is personal — God offers it to you (Galatians 2:20).

How Can I Enjoy This Gift?

Like every gift, you must receive it. The Bible makes it simple: believe and confess. Believe in the resurrection of Jesus and confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9–10). As soon as you do that, you are born again and part of God's family.

You now have access to God, the right to call Him Father, and the assurance that you belong to Him. Now you have eternal life, and you can enjoy the benefits of this new, expansive life!
