The last words of a person often leave a lasting impression, revealing their heart in their final moments. Jesus’ words on the cross, recorded across the Gospels, reveal His deepest expressions of God’s love. Though agonizing, His final statements were intentional, reflecting His mission and the heart of the triune God. As we meditate on these seven expressions of love, may the Spirit of God minister to us afresh, allowing us to drink deeply from the eternal spring of His grace and compassion.
