PROVERBS 18:10 - Running Into the Strong Tower

THE NAME IS THE TOWER

Faith Focus

The verse does not say God built a strong tower. It says His Name is the tower, a strong one at that. In Scripture, the name of God represents His nature, authority, power, and presence. When God reveals His Name, He reveals who He is and how He acts. This means safety is not found in location, systems, or people — it is found in who God is.

Many believers look for protection without intimacy. But the tower is not accessed by distance; it is entered by relationship. Knowing His Name is knowing His character.

Only the righteous will enter the Tower.

Reflection

  • What have I been treating as a “tower” instead of God?
  • Which attribute of God do I need to trust right now?

Prayer

Lord, reveal Yourself to me. Let my confidence rest in who You are, not what I see.

Declaration

The Name of the Lord is my refuge and my confidence.
