You Are Not a Mistake

Every young person wrestles with the question, “Who am I?” The world tries to answer it through popularity, appearance, relationships, and achievements but none of these truly satisfy. Deep down, there’s a longing to know that your life matters, that you were created for something bigger than the opinions of others.

Psalm 139:13–14 reminds us, “You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Before you ever took your first breath, God had already written your story. You are not an accident. You are a masterpiece — handcrafted by the Creator Himself.

Still, many youths struggle to believe this truth. Social media screams that you must look or act a certain way to be worthy. But your worth doesn’t come from likes, followers, or validation it comes from being made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). When you understand that, insecurity loses its power.

In Christ, you are chosen, loved, and set apart (1 Peter 2:9).

You don’t have to perform to earn God’s approval; you already have it. He doesn’t just tolerate you; He delights in you. And when you walk in that truth, you begin to live with confidence, not comparison.

So today, silence the lies that say you’re not enough. You were created with purpose, loved without condition, and seen by a God who makes no mistakes.

Father, thank You for creating me with purpose and love. Help me to see myself through Your eyes, not through the world’s opinions. Teach me to live with confidence in who You say I am. Amen.
