Day 1 – Jesus, the True Light

Scriptures:

• John 8:12 (KJV) - "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
• John 1:9 (KJV) - "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world."
• Psalm 36:9 (KJV) - "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light."

Devotional:

Light changes everything. It allows us to see clearly, walk confidently, and move forward without fear of losing our way. When Jesus declared that He is the Light of the world, He was revealing more than guidance—He was revealing His very nature. Wherever Jesus is present, darkness cannot remain. Confusion, fear, and uncertainty lose their power in His presence.

Following Jesus does not mean we always understand what lies ahead. Often, His light illuminates our next step, inviting us to trust Him. In moments when decisions feel heavy or the future feels unclear, His light reminds us that we are not walking alone. He leads with wisdom, faithfulness, and love.

When we choose to follow Jesus, we step out of darkness and into life. His light brings hope to weary hearts and direction to wandering souls. Today, allow His light to guide you—not just toward answers, but toward deeper trust in Him.
