The Bridge Between Prayer and the Answer

Hebrews 10:36 (ASV) says,
“For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.”

Daniel 10 gives us a living illustration of this truth. Daniel prayed for understanding, and later the angel told him, “From the first day you set your heart to understand… your words were heard.”

The answer was released on the very first day, yet Daniel did not see the manifestation until the twenty-first day. Between the prayer and the visible answer was a waiting space, the bridge called patience.

Daniel had already done the will of God, but he still had to wait to receive what had been granted.

That was the same bridge I walked on that day. Mine lasted only a few minutes, not weeks, but the principle remained the same:

• Faith prays
• Patience waits
• And together, they inherit the promise (Hebrews 6:12)
