The Story of Godنموونە

Mark 14:36 (ESV) 'And he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”'
Jesus models real faithfulness in prayer here. Real faith is not just believing that God is able to answer our prayer, or believing that God will answer our prayer. Real faith is trusting that God's will is good, that his plan is better than ours. Faithfulness in prayer is bringing our requests to God and asking him to align our hearts with his as we ask.
Mark 14:61-62 (ESV) 'But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”'
From a worldly perspective, it looked like Jesus was on trial and humiliated. But Jesus had a heavenly perspective and knew that his humiliation would be his glory. What looked like defeat would be victory.
