Making the Most of Every Moment

Ever look up and wonder where the time went? A year passes, and you realize you've been so busy you barely remember what you were busy doing.

Most of us don't choose to waste time—we just drift. We respond, we survive, and slowly we lose sight of what really matters.

Jesus didn't live like that. He didn't sprint through life, but He didn't waste time either. He lived with quiet urgency, knowing His time was limited and His mission eternal. Every step was intentional. Every interruption became an opportunity. Every moment mattered.

Paul understood this tension when he wrote to the Ephesians. Surrounded by a culture that was dark, loud, and full of distraction, he challenged them: "Be very careful how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity."

When you're in the family business, time isn't just a resource—it's a responsibility.

Moses captured this in Psalm 90:12: "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." That's not about fear; it's about focus. When you realize your days are limited, you start spending them differently. You stop defaulting to what's urgent and start leaning into what's eternal.

Here's what's often overlooked: how you spend your time shapes how others see Jesus. Your intentional living becomes a witness. Your purposeful choices point people to God's heart.

You don't have to do everything, but you can do the next right thing. Maybe it's the conversation you've been avoiding, the boundary you need to set, the person you've meant to reach out to.

Your time is a gift from the Father. Don't bury it—invest it in His family business.

Reflection Question: What's one thing God's placed on my heart that I need to act on—not later, but now?

Prayer: Jesus, help me live like time is a gift, not a guarantee. Show me what really matters today, and help me invest my moments in loving You, loving others, and living on purpose. Amen.
