Why Are My Vegetables Still in the Microwave?
The Benefits of Bad Memory.
The other morning, when I opened the microwave, I found last night's vegetables. I reheated them, but forgot to take them out. No wonder dinner seemed to be missing something.
They've been sitting in the microwave all night.
Mums, have you had that moment when you find the same cup of coffee that you had reheated many times? Since you keep forgetting to take it out of the microwave, you have to reheat the same cup over and over again.
You're not alone; you are not the only mother who has a bad memory.
Take comfort, as the Bible says that God also has a bad memory—because of what Jesus has done for us, if we belong to Jesus.
God won't remember any of our secrets, shame, regrets, guilt, or sin.
"For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” (Hebrews 8:12, ESV)
It's as if God puts all our shame into my microwave and forgets it even happened.
Mums, take comfort that you're not alone...and maybe a bad memory can be a good thing.
(Forgetting the vegetables is one thing, but don't forget the coffee!)
