I Trust in Youنموونە

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come and find rest in him. Jesus’ invitation meets us at the point of our pain and offers us a safe place to unburden ourselves. When we are weary, anxious, or broken, it is in the presence of Jesus that we find blessing, not because our circumstances are instantly changed, but because that is where he meets us.
No matter where life takes us, we can trust that the Lord will meet us there. Throughout scripture, Jesus manages to show up right on time again and again. Like the Roman Centurion who believed that a single word from Jesus would heal his servant, we believe that God is sovereign, having all power and authority, and the work he was doing in the book of Luke is still being done today.
The song reminds us that God has the final word. Not our pain, not our circumstances, not even our failures — but God’s sovereignty. And in that sovereignty, we find hope. We find peace. When we fully place our trust in God, our desire for control becomes a desire for communion. Resting in God’s presence.

Check out the reading plan for CNOW UNITED's second single from the album, "Center." "I Trust In You" is about leaning on the sovereignty of God, trusting him through every circumstance. Each day of this devotional, you'll join in reflection with our songwriters and worship leaders on the scriptures behind the song and how it connects, inspires, and challenges us in our walk with Jesus.
