Dream Again
Have you stopped dreaming?
Not because you wanted to, but because life got heavy. Because the pain of the past became louder than your hope for the future. Because somewhere along the way, you convinced yourself that dreaming was for other people, people who didn’t carry your kind of baggage.
Maybe you’ve whispered to yourself,“That ship has sailed.”
“Too much has happened.”
“I missed my chance.”
But friend, can I gently remind you of something beautiful?
God never stopped dreaming about you.
He hasn’t changed His mind about the future He prepared for you. He hasn’t thrown away your purpose because of the pain you’ve walked through. In fact, He’s been holding space for your healing all along—waiting for you to believe again. To hope again. To dream again.
Ephesians 2:10 tells us:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Let those words sink into the tender places of your heart. Here’s what they mean for you:
1. You are God’s masterpiece.
You’re not an accident. You’re not damaged goods. You’re not too far gone. You are the deliberate, handcrafted creation of a loving God. He sees beauty in you, even when you struggle to see it yourself. You are deeply known, deeply loved, and infinitely valuable.
2. You were made for more.
Not just to exist. Not just to survive the past. But to live fully, freely, and purposefully. The pain you’ve experienced has shaped you, yes. But it hasn’t stolen your calling. You carry wisdom and strength the world needs. You were created to do good things, and your life still hassomuch to give.
3. God planned your purpose in advance.
Before the mistakes. Before the heartbreak. Before the detours. He knew it all and still, He chose you. Nothing you’ve gone through has disqualified you from His plan. If anything, He’s using it to make your story even more powerful. He hasn’t given up on your future, even if you have.
So let me ask you gently:
What dream did you bury because you thought you didn’t deserve to carry it anymore?
Bring it back into the light. Let God breathe on it. He’s not asking for perfection—He’s asking for youryes.Your willingness to believe that His grace is bigger than your regrets.
It’s time to dream again. Not because you have it all together, but because the One who holds your heart is already holding your future.
Prayer:
Father, I’ve let the weight of my past silence the dreams You placed in my heart. I’ve believed the lie that it’s too late for me—that I’ve missed my chance. But today, I choose to believe You. You call me Your masterpiece. You created me with purpose. You have a plan that includes me. Lord, awaken the dreams I’ve buried. Heal what’s been broken. And help me trust You enough to dream again—with open hands and a surrendered heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Journal Prompt:
If nothing from your past could hold you back, what would you dare to dream again? What has God been gently whispering to your heart that fear has tried to silence? Write it down—and then ask Him to show you how to take the next step.
Grace Truth:
"I am God's masterpiece."
