If we're honest, we typically prefer the smoothest ride possible, opting for comfort at every turn, free of tolls & road rage. In life, most people crave a bump-free journey, too. Much to humanity's dismay, Jesus issued the disappointing news in John 16, verse 33: “Here on earth you will have many trials & sorrows.” Why didn’t He tell His faithful followers that He was removing heartache & tragedy from this earth? Let's talk about life's unwelcomed detours & how we can navigate them with the Truth of God's Word.

Discover a life connected to Christ in the face of persecution. Explore the concept and its impact on faith, acknowledging Jesus' warning that followers will face challenges. Reflect on sharing the Good News and the cost of discipleship, while finding strength in the Holy Spirit's guidance. Anticipate persecution with unwavering confidence in Christ's victory. How do you still love the church when one is betrayed, hurt or even abused by someone in the church? This plan seeks to hold this pain and tension with biblical wisdom for healing and freedom whilst knowing that the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

Not every lie sounds untrue. Some just sound right. And some are repeated so often that they virtually become "common knowledge." This is what makes lies about God so dangerous. So we have to ask, what might God's enemy want us to believe to lead us astray? And would we even see it happening?
