This plan will explore what the letter of Hebrews can teach us in four different areas. 1) WHO GOD IS: God’s character and nature 2) WHO WE ARE: the identity of humanity and/or followers of Jesus 3) WHAT WE BELIEVE: core Christian doctrines 4) HOW WE LIVE: putting faith into action

Christians are different. They can’t help it. When you’re in Christ and filled with the Spirit, it changes you. This leads to weird ideas and alternate beliefs about reality. This series of 5-day plans uses classic Christian Creeds as a vehicle to explain the Christian worldview compared to the world’s and help us see reality through Jesus’s eyes.

The world is a battlefield. Not only literally, when people groups or countries are fighting, but also spiritually. Satan has declared war on God and God’s people. This sounds terrifying, and therefore it is important to know that Jesus is stronger. He is stronger than sin, stronger than Satan, and stronger even than death itself. And if you belong to Him, you share in His victory!

Jesus — Is there anyone greater? NO! This is Part One of Nine devotional plans walking us through the Book of Hebrews. This first part sets the stage of Jesus’ Greatness and shows what sets Him apart. God’s people faced a tough choice — follow Jesus and lose everything, or go back. Is following Jesus worth losing so much? We find ourselves asking — and responding — to the same question today.
