A Physician’s Insights on the Great Physician—Keys to Experiencing God’s Healing Powerনমুনা

Jesus, Our Spirit-Empowered Healer
Jesus’ healing ministry began only after the Holy Spirit came upon Him. Though He was fully the Son of God, He chose to minister as a man filled with, led by, and empowered by the Spirit. If the sinless Son of God depended on the Holy Spirit, how much more do we need to rely on the Holy Spirit’s aid?
In Nazareth, Jesus opened Isaiah’s scroll and boldly declared that the Spirit had anointed Him to heal broken hearts, free captives, restore sight, and lift oppression. He is still doing that today. Jesus is our Jubilee—our return to everything that was lost when sin entered the world through Adam’s transgression.
Reflection Question:
Where do you need the Holy Spirit’s help the most in your life today?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh. Open the eyes of my heart to Jesus, my Jubilee, and help me regain what has been lost. Amen.

About this Plan

Much of the earthly ministry of Jesus revolved around healing the sick. It wasn’t just something our Lord did randomly. It was a crucial piece of Christ’s redemptive work. Now, more than 2,000 years after His death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven, that hasn’t changed. Jesus is still in the business of healing. And to understand the healing works of Jesus today, what better place to look than His healing ministry when He was dwelling among us?
