Not only is Jesus a great storyteller, but He is the “Author of Life” (Acts 3:15) and in control of the past, present and future. During His three years of ministry on earth, He often spoke to curious listeners using parables, which have been appropriately described as “small stories containing big truths.” In “Tell Me A Story,” we take a closer look at seven of these parables contained within Matthew 13 to develop a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, who we are and how we have been called to live in this world!

Tell Me a Story

“The Kingsmen: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Mission” is a 7-day Bible plan that helps you see your ordinary life as a strategic assignment from King Jesus. Drawing from Matthew 10 and Mavuno Church’s “The Kingsmen” series, it uses the Kingsman movie idea—ordinary recruits on an extraordinary mission—to show how God sends you into your real “sector”: home, school, office, campus, or neighborhood. Each day explores calling, conduct, cost, confidence, continuance, circle, and fruitfulness, with Bible passages, a clear devotional, simple real-life application, a short prayer, a practical next step, and two reflection questions to help you respond.

The Kingsmen: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Mission

Some of them are unnamed. Some appear in a single verse. None of them knew their story would matter so much. Lightbearers traces twelve women at the turning points of God's story and asks what it looks like to carry His Word faithfully into the people and places he has given you, so that others may see and glorify your Father in heaven. Based on Matthew 5:14-16 and 1 John 1:5, this 14-day plan is for every woman who holds the completed Word of God and is ready to stop hiding it.
