Psalms 80:4-7
Psalms 80:4-7 The Message (MSG)
GOD, God-of-the-Angel-Armies, how long will you smolder like a sleeping volcano while your people call for fire and brimstone? You put us on a diet of tears, bucket after bucket of salty tears to drink. You make us look ridiculous to our friends; our enemies poke fun day after day. God-of-the-Angel-Armies, come back! Smile your blessing smile: That will be our salvation.
Psalms 80:4-7 King James Version (KJV)
O LORD God of hosts, How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; And givest them tears to drink in great measure. Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: And our enemies laugh among themselves. Turn us again, O God of hosts, And cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

O LORD God of hosts, How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people? You have fed them with the bread of tears, And You have made them to drink tears in large measure. You make us an object of contention to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh among themselves. O God of hosts, restore us And cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.
Psalms 80:4-7 New Century Version (NCV)
LORD God All-Powerful, how long will you be angry at the prayers of your people? You have fed your people with tears; you have made them drink many tears. You made those around us fight over us, and our enemies make fun of us. God All-Powerful, take us back. Show us your kindness so we can be saved.

How long, LORD God Almighty, will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people? You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful. O LORD God of hosts, How long will You be angry with the prayers of Your people? You have fed them the bread of tears, And You have made them drink [bitter] tears in abundance. You make us an object of contention to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh [at our suffering] among themselves. Restore us, O God of hosts; And cause Your face to shine on us [with favor and approval], and we will be saved.
Psalms 80:4-7 New Living Translation (NLT)
O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies, how long will you be angry with our prayers? You have fed us with sorrow and made us drink tears by the bucketful. You have made us the scorn of neighboring nations. Our enemies treat us as a joke. Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
Psalms 80:4-7 The Passion Translation (TPT)
O God, the mighty Commander of Angel Armies, how much longer will you smolder in anger? How much longer will you be disgusted with your people even when they pray? You have fed us with sorrow and grief and made us drink our tears by the bowlful. You’ve made us a thorn in the side of all the neighboring lands, and now they just laugh at us with their mocking scorn. Come back, come back, O God, and restore us! You are the Commander of Angel Armies. Let your beaming face shine upon us with the sunrise rays of glory, and then nothing will be able to stop us!
Psalms 80:4-7 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
