Psalm 26
By David.
1Judge me favorably, O Lord,
because I have walked with integrity
and I have trusted you without wavering.
2Examine me, O Lord, and test me.
Look closely into my heart and mind.
3I see your mercy in front of me.
I walk in the light of your truth.
4I did not sit with liars,
and I will not be found among hypocrites.
5I have hated the mob of evildoers
and will not sit with wicked people.
6I will wash my hands in innocence.
I will walk around your altar, O Lord,
7so that I may loudly sing a hymn of thanksgiving
and tell about all your miracles.
8O Lord, I love the house where you live,
the place where your glory dwells.
9Do not sweep away my soul along with hardened sinners
or my life along with bloodthirsty people.
10Evil schemes are in their hands.
Their right hands are full of bribes.
11But I walk with integrity.
Rescue me, and have pity on me.
12My feet stand on level ground.
I will praise the Lord with the choirs in worship.

PSALM 26
A Psalm of David.
1Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have confided in Jehovah: I shall not slip. 2Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart: 3For thy loving-kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in thy truth. 4I have not sat with vain persons, neither have I gone in with dissemblers; 5I have hated the congregation of evil-doers, and I have not sat with the wicked.
6I will wash my hands in innocency, and will encompass thine altar, O Jehovah, 7That I may cause the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and declare all thy marvellous works. 8Jehovah, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth. 9Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood; 10In whose hands are evil devices, and their right hand is full of bribes. 11But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity. Redeem me, and be gracious unto me. 12My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregations will I bless Jehovah.
