Psalm 16
A miktam #16:0 Unknown musical term. by David.
1Protect me, O God, because I take refuge in you.
2I said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord. Without you, I have nothing good.”
3Those who lead holy lives on earth
are the noble ones who fill me with joy.
4Those who quickly chase after other gods multiply their sorrows.
I will not pour out their sacrificial offerings of blood
or use my lips to speak their names.
5The Lord is my inheritance and my cup.
You are the one who determines my destiny.
6Your boundary lines mark out pleasant places for me.
Indeed, my inheritance is something beautiful.
7I will praise the Lord, who advises me.
My conscience warns me at night.
8I always keep the Lord in front of me.
When he is by my side, I cannot be moved.
9That is why my heart is glad and my soul rejoices.
My body rests securely
10because you do not abandon my soul to the grave
or allow your holy one to decay.
11You make the path of life known to me.
Complete joy is in your presence.
Pleasures are by your side forever.

Tehillim (Psalms) 16
16
1Guard me, O Ěl, for I have taken refuge in You.
2I have said to יהוה, “You are יהוה, I have no good beside You.”
3As for the set-apart ones who are on the earth, They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.
4The sorrows of those who run after another one are increased; I would not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor take up their names on my lips.
5יהוה is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You uphold my lot.
6Boundary lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, a good inheritance is mine.
7I bless יהוה who has given me counsel; My kidneys also instruct me in the nights.
8I have set יהוה always before me; Because He is at my right hand I am not shaken.
9Therefore my heart was glad, and my esteem rejoices; My flesh also dwells in safety.
10For You do not leave my being in She’ol, Neither let Your Lovingly-committed One see corruption.
11You show me the path of life; In Your presence is joy to satisfaction; At Your right hand are pleasures forever.
