His Steadfast Love Endures Forever
1 # ver. 29; See Ps. 100:5 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 # [Ps. 115:9, 10, 11] Let Israel say,
“His steadfast love endures forever.”
3 # [See ver. 2 above] Let the house of Aaron say,
“His steadfast love endures forever.”
4 # [See ver. 2 above] Let those who fear the Lord say,
“His steadfast love endures forever.”
5 # [Jonah 2:1] Out of my distress I #[Ps. 116:4] called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me #See Ps. 18:19free.

What can man do to me?

in the name of the Lord I cut them off!

they went out like #[Ps. 58:9]a fire among thorns;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
13I was #[Ps. 140:4]pushed hard,#118:13 Hebrew You (that is, the enemy) pushed me hard so that I was falling,
but the Lord helped me.
14The Lord is my strength and my song;

15Glad songs of salvation
are in the tents of the righteous:
# Ex. 15:6; Luke 1:51 “The right hand of the Lord #Ps. 60:12does valiantly,
16the right hand of the Lord exalts,
the right hand of the Lord #[See ver. 15 above]does valiantly!”
17 # [Hab. 1:12] I shall not die, but I shall live,

18The Lord has #[Jer. 30:11; 2 Cor. 6:9]disciplined me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
19 # Isa. 26:2; [Ps. 24:7, 9] Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the Lord.
20This is the gate of the Lord;
# Rev. 21:27; 22:14; [Isa. 35:8] the righteous shall enter through it.
21I thank you that #Ps. 116:1 you have answered me
# [See ver. 14 above] and have become my salvation.

23This is the Lord’s doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.
24This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
25Save us, we pray, O Lord!
O Lord, we pray, give us success!
