The Seven Lamps
1Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to Aaron and say to him, When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.” 3And Aaron did so: he set up its lamps in front of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses. 4And #Ex. 25:31this was the workmanship of the lampstand, hammered work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was hammered work; according to the pattern that the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
Cleansing of the Levites
5And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 6“Take the Levites from among the people of Israel and cleanse them. 7Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the #ch. 19:9, 17; [Lev. 8:6] water of purification upon them, and #[Lev. 14:8, 9]let them go with a razor over all their body, and wash their clothes and cleanse themselves. 8Then let them take a bull from the herd and #Lev. 2:1; See Ex. 29:41its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, #ver. 12and you shall take another bull from the herd for a sin offering. 9#[Ex. 29:4; 40:12] And you shall bring the Levites before the tent of meeting #[Lev. 8:3]and assemble the whole congregation of the people of Israel. 10When you bring the Levites before the Lord, the people of Israel #[Lev. 1:4]shall lay their hands on the Levites, 11and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the people of Israel, that they may do the service of the Lord. 12Then the Levites #[Ex. 29:10] shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer #ver. 8the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the Lord to make atonement for the Levites. 13And you shall set the Levites before Aaron and his sons, and shall offer them as #ver. 11, 21a wave offering to the Lord.
14“Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the people of Israel, and #ch. 3:45; [ch. 16:9]the Levites shall be mine. 15And after that the Levites shall go in to serve at the tent of meeting, when you have cleansed them and offered them as a #[See ver. 13 above]wave offering. 16For they are #ch. 3:9wholly given to me from among the people of Israel. #ch. 3:12, 45Instead of all who open the womb, the firstborn of all the people of Israel, I have taken them for myself. 17#See Ex. 13:2For all the firstborn among the people of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I consecrated them for myself, 18and I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the people of Israel. 19#[See ver. 16 above] And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the people of Israel, to do the service for the people of Israel at the tent of meeting and #ch. 25:11, 13to make atonement for the people of Israel, #See ch. 1:53that there may be no plague among the people of Israel when the people of Israel come near the sanctuary.”
20Thus did Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the people of Israel to the Levites. According to all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, the people of Israel did to them. 21And #ver. 7the Levites purified themselves from sin and washed their clothes, and #ver. 11, 12, 13, 15Aaron offered them as a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them. 22And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron and his sons; as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
Retirement of the Levites
23And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24“This applies to the Levites: #[ch. 4:3; 1 Chr. 23:3, 24, 27]from twenty-five years old and upward they#8:24 Hebrew he; also verses 25, 26 shall come to do duty in the service of the tent of meeting. 25And from the age of fifty years they shall withdraw from the duty of the service and serve no more. 26They minister#8:26 Hebrew He ministers to their brothers in the tent of meeting #See ch. 1:53by keeping guard, but they shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites in assigning their duties.”

Lite Di Lamp
1God kon tell Moses: 2“Go tell Aaron sey make e put di seven lamp for where di lite go for dey shine for di lampstand front.” 3So Aaron do as dem tell am. E put di lamp for di lampstand front, just as God kommand Moses. 4Dis na how dem take make di lampstand: from di top go rish bottom, dem make am with gold, just as God show Moses.
Separate Levi Pipol
5God tell Moses: 6“Make yu take Levi pipol komot for where Israel pipol dey kon wosh dem, so dat dem go dey holy. 7Dis na how yu go take make dem holy: Sprinkol di holy wota for dia body, den tell dem sey make dem shave di hair for dia whole body kon wosh dia klot, so dat dem go dey holy. 8Dem go take one small melu with korn ofrin wey bi fine flower wey dem mix with olive oil; den yu go take anoda small melu for di holy ofrin. 9Yu go take Levi pipol kom di tent where dem for dey do meetin kon gada all di kommunity for Israel. 10Yu go take Levi pipol kom where God dey and Israel pipol go put dia hand for Levi pipol head; 11den Aaron go offa Levi pipol to God as special ofrin from Israel, so dat dem go do God work.
12“Levi pipol go put dia hand on-top di two melu head; dem go give one as ofrin to klean demsef and di oda one as burnt ofrin, so dat dem go dey holy. 13Yu go offa Levi pipol to God and Aaron and en sons go kare for dem. 14So yu go separate Levi pipol from di oda pipol for Israel and Levi pipol go kon bi my own.
15“Afta dis, Levi pipol go-go do my work for di tent wey dem for dey do meetin. So yu must klean and give dem to God as special ofrin. 16I don use dem take replace all di first-born for Israel and dem bi my own forever. 17Wen I kill all di first-born wey dey Egypt, I make all di first sons and animal for Israel holy, so dat dem go bi my own. 18So I don use Levi pipol replace all di first-born sons for Israel. 19From among Israel pipol, I don give Levi pipol as gift to Aaron and en sons, so dat dem go do di work wey Israel pipol suppose do for di tent where dem for dey do meetin and dem go guide Israel pipol from di wahala wey go happen if dem go near di sanctuary.”
20So Moses, Aaron and Israel pipol kon offa Levi pipol, just as God kommand. 21Levi pipol go klean and wosh dia klot, den Aaron give dem as special gift to God. E still do di sakrifice to make dem holy. 22Di pipol do all di tins wey God kommand Moses about Levi pipol. So Levi pipol kon dey do di work for di tent where dem for dey do meetin and na Aaron and en sons, bi dia oga.
Levi Pipol Work
23God tell Moses, 24“From doz wey bi twenty-five years go among Levi pipol, na dem go do God work for di tent where dem for dey do meetin 25and dem go ritaya wen dem don rish fifty years. 26Dem fit help dia brodas for di work; dey give dem wetin dem wont, but make dem nor do any work. Dis na wetin yu go tell Levi pipol to do koncerning dia work for di sanctuary.”
