Noah and the Flood
1Then Yahweh said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this generation. 2You shall take #7:2 Lit towith you of every clean animal #7:2 Lit seven sevenby sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean, two, a male and his female; 3also of the birds of the #7:3 Lit heavenssky, #7:3 Lit seven sevenby sevens, male and female, to keep their seed alive on the face of all the earth. 4For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.” 5And Noah did according to all that Yahweh had commanded him.
6Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water #7:6 Lit wascame upon the earth. 7Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood. 8Of clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and everything that creeps on the ground, 9#7:9 Lit two twoby twos they came to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah. 10Now it happened after the seven days, that the water of the flood #7:10 Lit werecame upon the earth. 11In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the fountains of the great deep split open, and the #7:11 Or windows of the heavensfloodgates of the sky were opened. 12Then the rain #7:12 Lit wascame upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
13On this very day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark, 14they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after #7:14 Lit itstheir kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind—every #7:14 Lit birdfowl, every winged creature. 15So they came to Noah into the ark, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life. 16And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and Yahweh closed it behind him.
17Then the flood #7:17 Lit wascame upon the earth for forty days, and the water multiplied and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth. 18And the water prevailed and multiplied greatly upon the earth, and the ark went on the #7:18 Lit facesurface of the water. 19And the water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered. 20The water prevailed #7:20 Approx. 22.5 ft. or 6.75 mfifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered. 21And all flesh that #7:21 Or creptmoved on the earth breathed its last, that is birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, as well as all mankind. 22All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life—of all that was on the dry land—died. 23Thus He blotted out #7:23 Lit all existenceevery living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the #7:23 Lit heavenssky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah remained, and those that were with him in the ark. 24And the water prevailed upon the earth 150 days.

Genesis 7
1¶ And the Lord said unto Noah, Enter thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2Of every clean animal thou shalt take to thee seven pairs, the male and his female; but of animals that are not clean, two, the male and his female.
3Of fowls also of the heavens by seven pairs, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4For yet in seven days, I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every substance that I have made I will destroy from off the face of the earth.
5¶ And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7And Noah went in and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him into the ark because of the waters of the flood.
8Of clean animals and of animals that are not clean and of fowls and of every thing that moves upon the earth,
9there went in two by two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11¶ In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of the heavens were opened.
12And there was rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13¶ In that same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered into the ark,
14they and every animal after its kind and all the beasts after their kind and every creeping thing that moves upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind, every bird, every thing with wings.
15And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh in which is the spirit of life.
16And those that went in went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him, and the Lord shut him in.
17¶ And the flood was forty days upon the earth, and the waters multiplied and bore up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.
18And the waters prevailed and multiplied greatly upon the earth, and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth, and all the high mountains that were under all the heavens were covered.
20Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail, and the mountains were covered.
21¶ And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of beasts and of animals and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth and every man;
22all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life of all that was in the dry land died.
23And every substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man and cattle and the animals and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth, and only Noah remained alive and those that were with him in the ark.
24And the waters prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.
