Ḥazon (Revelation) 5
5
1And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back,#Ezek. 2:10 having been sealed with seven seals.
2And I saw a strong messenger proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loosen its seals?”
3And no one in the heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.
4And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
5And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Yehuḏah,#See Gen. 49:9, 10; Heb. 7:14 the Root of Dawiḏ,#See Isa. 11:1; Isa. 11:10 overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals.”
6And I looked and saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim sent out into all the earth.
7And He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him sitting on the throne.
8And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the set-apart ones.
9And they sang a renewed song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and have redeemed us to Elohim by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,#This fact is given in 6 other texts in the Book of Revelation.
10and made us sovereigns and priests to our Elohim, and we shall reign upon the earth.”#See Dan. 7:18-27
11And I looked, and I heard the voice of many messengers around the throne, and the living creatures, and the elders. And the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,
12saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb having been slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and respect and esteem and blessing!”
13And every creature which is in the heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying, “To Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb, be the blessing and the respect and the esteem and the might, forever and ever!”
14And the four living creatures said, “Amĕn!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and bowed before Him who lives forever and ever.

The Scroll and the Lamb
1Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne #Ezek. 2:9, 10 a scroll written within and on the back, #Isa. 29:11; Dan. 12:4sealed with seven seals. 2And #[ch. 10:1; 18:21]I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 4and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, #Gen. 49:9 the Lion #Heb. 7:14 of the tribe of Judah, #ch. 22:16; Isa. 11:1, 10; Rom. 15:12the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw #ver. 9, 12; ch. 13:8; Isa. 53:7; John 1:29, 36; 1 Pet. 1:19 a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with #Zech. 3:9; 4:10 seven eyes, which are #See ch. 1:4the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders #See ch. 4:10 fell down before the Lamb, #ch. 14:2; 15:2 each holding a harp, and #[ch. 15:7] golden bowls full of incense, #ch. 8:3, 4; Ps. 141:2which are the prayers of the saints. 9And they sang #ch. 14:3; See Ps. 33:3 a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for #ver. 6 you were slain, and by your blood #ch. 14:3, 4; See 2 Pet. 2:1 you ransomed people for God
from #ch. 7:9; 11:9; 14:6; See Dan. 3:4every tribe and language and people and nation,
10and you have made them #See ch. 1:6a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering #Dan. 7:10; [Heb. 12:22]myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice,
# ch. 4:11 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13And I heard #Ps. 145:21; 150:6every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
14And the four living creatures #ch. 7:12; 19:4 said, “Amen!” and the elders #ver. 8; See ch. 4:10fell down and worshiped.
