Ḥazon (Revelation) 16
16
1And I heard a loud voice from the Dwelling Place saying to the seven messengers, “Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of Elohim on the earth.”
2And the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and an evil and wicked sore came upon the men, those having the mark of the beast and those worshipping his image.
3And the second messenger poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood, as of a dead one, and every living creature in the sea died.
4And the third messenger poured out his bowl on the rivers and fountains of water, and they became blood.
5And I heard the messenger of the waters saying, “You are righteous, O יהוה, the One who is and who was and who shall be, because You have judged these.
6“Because they have shed the blood of set-apart ones and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. For they deserve it.”
7And I heard another out of the slaughter-place saying, “Yes, יהוה Ěl Shaddai, true and righteous are Your judgments.”
8And the fourth messenger poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to burn men with fire.
9And men were burned with great heat, and they blasphemed the Name of Elohim who possesses authority over these plagues. And they did not repent, to give Him esteem.
10And the fifth messenger poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his reign became darkened. And they gnawed their tongues from pain.
11And they blasphemed the Elohim of the heaven for their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their works.
12And the sixth messenger poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, in order to prepare the way of the sovereigns from the east.
13And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as frogs,
14for they are spirits of demons, doing signs, which go out to the sovereigns of the entire world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of יהוה the Almighty.
15“See, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who is staying awake and guarding his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
16And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Har Meḡiddo.
17And the seventh messenger poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the Dwelling Place of the heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
18And there came to be noises and thunders and lightnings. And there came to be a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not came to be since men were on the earth.
19And the great city became divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Baḇel was remembered before Elohim, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
20And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21And great hail from the heaven fell upon men, every hailstone about the weight of a talent. And men blasphemed Elohim for the plague of the hail, because that plague was exceedingly great.

Revelation 16
16
Seven bowls of God's anger
1From the temple I heard a voice shout to the seven angels, “Go and empty the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth.”
2The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshipped the idol.#Ex 9.10.
3The second angel emptied his bowl on the sea. Straight away the sea turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
4The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and streams. At once they turned to blood.#Ex 7.17-21; Ps 78.44. 5Then I heard the angel, who has power over water, say,
“You have always been,
and you always will be
the holy God.
You had the right
to judge in this way.
6They poured out the blood#16.6 They poured out the blood: A way of saying, “They murdered”.
of your people
and your prophets.
So you gave them blood
to drink, as they deserve!”
7After this, I heard
the altar shout,
“Yes, Lord God All-Powerful,
your judgments are honest
and fair.”
8The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire. 9Everyone was scorched by its great heat, and all of them cursed the name of God who had power over these terrible troubles. But no one turned to God and praised him.
10The fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast. At once darkness covered its kingdom, and its people began biting their tongues in pain.#Ex 10.21. 11And because of their painful sores, they cursed the God who rules in heaven. But still they did not stop doing evil things.
12The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great River Euphrates, and it completely dried up to make a road for the kings from the east.#Is 11.15. 13An evil spirit that looked like a frog came out of the mouth of the dragon. One also came out of the mouth of the beast, and another out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14These evil spirits had the power to perform miracles. They went to every king on earth, to bring them together for a war against God All-Powerful. But that will be the day of God's great victory.
15Remember that Christ says, “When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! But God will bless you, if you are awake and ready. Then you won't have to walk around naked and be ashamed.”#Mt 24.43,44; Lk 12.39,40; Rev 3.3.
16Those armies came together in a place that in Hebrew is called Armagedon.#16.16 Armagedon: The Hebrew form of the name would be “Har Megiddo”, meaning “Hill of Megiddo”, where many battles were fought in ancient times (see Judges 5.19; 2 Kings 23.29,30).#2 K 23.29; Zec 12.11.
17As soon as the seventh angel emptied his bowl in the air, a loud voice from the throne in the temple shouted, “It's done!” 18There were flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and the worst earthquake in all history.#Rev 8.5; 11.13,19. 19The great city of Babylon split into three parts, and the cities of other nations fell. So God made Babylon drink from the wine cup that was filled with his anger.#Is 51.17. 20Every island ran away, and the mountains disappeared.#Rev 6.14. 21Hailstones, weighing about fifty kilogrammes each, fell from the sky on people. Finally, the people cursed God, because the hail was so terrible.#Ex 9.23; Rev 11.19.
