Tehillim (Psalms) 54

1O Elohim, save me by Your Name, And rightly rule me by Your might.

2Hear my prayer, O Elohim; Give ear to the words of my mouth.

3For strangers have risen up against me, And cruel men have sought after my life; They have not set Elohim before them. Selah.

4See, Elohim is my helper; יהוה is with those who sustain my life.

5He repays evil to my enemies. Cut them off in Your truth.

6Voluntarily I slaughter to You; I praise Your Name, O יהוה, for it is good.

7For He has delivered me out of all distress; And my eye has looked upon my enemies.

The Lord Upholds My Life

1O God, save me by your #Ps. 5:11; 52:9name,

and vindicate me by your might.

2O God, #See Ps. 55:1hear my prayer;

give ear to the words of my mouth.

the Lord is the upholder of my life.

5He will return the evil to my enemies;

in your #[Ps. 89:49] faithfulness #Ps. 143:12put an end to them.

6With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you;

I will give thanks to your name, O Lord, #Ps. 52:9for it is good.

7For he has delivered me from every trouble,

and my eye has #Ps. 59:10; 92:11; 112:8; 118:7looked in triumph on my enemies.
