Leviticus 22
22
1Adonai spoke to Moses, saying:
2“Tell Aaron and his sons to separate themselves from the holy things of Bnei-Yisrael, which they consecrate to Me, so that they would not profane My holy Name. I am Adonai.
3Tell them, if anyone of all your offspring throughout your generations approaches the holy things, which Bnei-Yisrael consecrate to Adonai, while in a state of uncleanness, that soul will be cut off from before Me. I am Adonai.
4“None of the offspring of Aaron who has tza'arat or has a discharge shall eat of the holy things until he is clean. Whoever touches anything that is unclean by the dead or a man whose seed discharges from him
5or who touches any creeping thing that may make him unclean or a person who is unclean—whatever his uncleanness—
6the person who touches any such thing will be unclean until the evening, and is not to eat of the holy things, unless he has bathed his body in water.
7When the sun sets, he will become clean, and afterward he may eat of the holy things, because it is his food.
8A carcass or what is torn by beasts he is not to eat, becoming unclean by it. I am Adonai.
9“Therefore kohanim should keep My charge, so that they do not become guilty of sin and die should they profane it. I am Adonai who sanctifies them.
10“No layman is to eat from the holy offering. A foreigner living with the kohanim or a hired servant is not to eat from the holy offering.
11But if a kohen buys a slave purchased by his money, that one may eat from it. Also those born in his house may eat his food.
12If a kohen’s daughter is married to a layman, she is not to eat from the gifts of the holy offerings.
13But if a kohen’s daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child and has returned to her father’s house as in her youth, she may eat from her father’s food. But no layman may eat any of it.
14“If anyone eats something holy unwittingly, then he is to add a fifth to it and give the holy offering to the kohen.
15They are not to profane the holy offerings of Bnei-Yisrael, which they lift up to Adonai,
16so causing them to bear the iniquity that brings guilt when they eat the holy offerings. For I am Adonai who sanctifies them.”
17Adonai spoke to Moses saying:
18“Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and to all Bnei-Yisrael, and say to them: Whoever is from the house of Israel, or one of the outsiders in Israel who brings his offering, whether it be any of their vows or any of their freewill offerings that they present to Adonai for a burnt offering—
19for you to be accepted—you are to offer a male without blemish, from the bulls, the sheep or the goats.
20But whatever has a blemish you are not to present, for it will not be acceptable on your behalf.
21Whoever brings a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to Adonai to fulfill a vow or for a freewill offering, either from the herd or the flock, it must be unblemished to be accepted—there must be no defect on it.
22The blind, injured, maimed, having an abnormal growth or festering or a running sore are not to be offered to Adonai, or given as an offering by fire on the altar to Adonai.
23For a freewill offering you may present a bull or a lamb that has any deformity or lacking in its parts, but for a vow it will not be accepted.
24Whatever has its testicles bruised, crushed, broken or cut, you are not to offer to Adonai, nor are you to do so in your own land.
25Moreover, you are not to offer the food of your God from the hand of an outsider from any of these animals. For their corruption is within them—they have a defect. They will not be accepted on your behalf.”
26Adonai spoke to Moses saying:
27“When a bull, a sheep or a goat is born, then it is to remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day onward it will be accepted as the gift of an offering made by fire to Adonai.
28If it is a cow or ewe, you are not to slaughter it along with its young, both in one day.
29When you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Adonai, you are to present it so that you may be accepted.
30It is to be eaten on the same day. You are to leave none of it until the morning. I am Adonai.
31“So you are to keep My mitzvot and do them. I am Adonai.
32You must not profane My holy Name, for I will be made holy among Bnei-Yisrael. I am Adonai who makes you holy,
33who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. I am Adonai.”

Leviticus 22
22
1And the Lord said to Moses, 2“Tell Aaron and his sons to keep away from the holy things of the people of Israel, which they dedicate to me, so that they may not profane my holy name: I am the Lord. 3Say to them, ‘If any one of all your descendants throughout your generations approaches the holy things, which the people of Israel dedicate to the Lord, while he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord. 4None of the line of Aaron who is a leper or suffers a discharge may eat of the holy things until he is clean. Whoever touches anything that is unclean through contact with the dead or a man who has had an emission of semen, 5and whoever touches a creeping thing by which he may be made unclean or a man from whom he may take uncleanness, whatever his uncleanness may be— 6the person who touches any such shall be unclean until the evening and shall not eat of the holy things unless he has bathed his body in water. 7When the sun is down he shall be clean; and afterward he may eat of the holy things, because such are his food. 8That which dies of itself or is torn by beasts he shall not eat, defiling himself by it: I am the Lord.’ 9They shall therefore keep my charge, lest they bear sin for it and die thereby when they profane it: I am the Lord who sanctify them.
10“An outsider shall not eat of a holy thing. A sojourner of the priest's or a hired servant shall not eat of a holy thing; 11but if a priest buys a slave as his property for money, the slave may eat of it; and those that are born in his house may eat of his food. 12#Lev 7.31-36. If a priest's daughter is married to an outsider she shall not eat of the offering of the holy things. 13But if a priest's daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child, and returns to her father's house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father's food; yet no outsider shall eat of it. 14And if a man eats of a holy thing unwittingly, he shall add the fifth of its value to it, and give the holy thing to the priest. 15The priests shall not profane the holy things of the people of Israel, which they offer to the Lord, 16and so cause them to bear iniquity and guilt, by eating their holy things: for I am the Lord who sanctify them.”
17And the Lord said to Moses, 18“Say to Aaron and his sons and all the people of Israel, When any one of the house of Israel or of the sojourners in Israel presents his offering, whether in payment of a vow or as a freewill offering which is offered to the Lord as a burnt offering, 19to be accepted you shall offer a male without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats. 20You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you. 21And when any one offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, to fulfil a vow or as a freewill offering, from the herd or from the flock, to be accepted it must be perfect; there shall be no blemish in it. 22Animals blind or disabled or mutilated or having a discharge or an itch or scabs, you shall not offer to the Lord or make of them an offering by fire upon the altar to the Lord. 23A bull or a lamb which has a part too long or too short you may present for a freewill offering; but for a votive offering it cannot be accepted. 24Any animal which has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut, you shall not offer to the Lord or sacrifice within your land; 25neither shall you offer as the bread of your God any such animals gotten from a foreigner. Since there is a blemish in them, because of their mutilation, they will not be accepted for you.”
26And the Lord said to Moses, 27“When a bull or sheep or goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day on it shall be acceptable as an offering by fire to the Lord. 28And whether the mother is a cow or a ewe, you shall not kill both her and her young in one day. 29And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted. 30It shall be eaten on the same day, you shall leave none of it until morning: I am the Lord.
31“So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord. 32And you shall not profane my holy name, but I will be hallowed among the people of Israel; I am the Lord who sanctify you, 33who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am the Lord.”
