Holy Garments for Aaron and His Sons
1Next they made woven garments of blue, purple and scarlet, for ministering in the holy place. They made the holy garments for Aaron, as Adonai commanded Moses.
2He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet and finely twisted linen.
3They hammered the gold into thin plates, and cut it into threads, to work it in with the blue, purple and scarlet, within the fine linen, the work of a skillful craftsman.
4Then they made shoulder pieces for it, joined together at the two ends.
5The artfully woven band on the ephod, with which to gird it, was of the same piece and the same kind of workmanship of gold, blue, purple, scarlet and finely twisted linen, as Adonai commanded Moses.
6They placed the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold, etched with the engravings of a signet seal, according to the names of Bnei-Yisrael.
7He put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, to be memorial stones for Bnei-Yisrael, as Adonai commanded Moses.
8He made the breastplate, the work of a skillful craftsman, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, scarlet and finely twisted linen.
9It was square and folded doubled, a span long and a span wide.
10They mounted within it four rows of stones. A row of ruby, topaz and emerald were the first row.
11In the second row were a turquoise, a sapphire and a diamond.
12In the third row were a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst,
13and in the fourth row were a beryl, an onyx and a jasper. They were enclosed in fittings of gold within their settings.
14The stones corresponded to the names of Bnei-Yisrael, like the engravings of a signet seal, each one according to its name for the twelve tribes.
15They attached braided chains to the breastplate, of wreathed work from pure gold.
16They made two settings of gold, and two golden rings, and set the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
17They attached the two golden chains to the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
18The other two ends of the chains they placed on the two settings, and fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front.
19They also made two golden rings, and set them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge that was toward the side of the ephod facing inward.
20They made two more rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulder pieces of the ephod underneath, in the front, enclosed by their coupling, above the artfully woven band of the ephod.
21Then they bound the breastplate by the rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue thread, so that it would rest on the artfully woven band and not be loosened from the ephod, as Adonai commanded Moses.
22He also made the robe of the ephod from woven work, all of blue,
23with a hole in the center of the robe, and a binding woven around the hole as a collar, so that it would not be torn.
24They also made, on the hem of the robe, pomegranates of blue, purple, scarlet and twisted linen.
25Then they made bells of pure gold and put the bells between the pomegranates on the hem of the robe all around, between the pomegranates,
26a bell and a pomegranate, then another bell and a pomegranate, all around on the hem of the robe, to minister in, as Adonai commanded Moses.
27Then they made the sashes of fine linen, woven work for Aaron and for his sons,
28the turban of fine linen, the headwear, the linen undergarments of finely twisted linen,
29along with the tunic of checkered work, in blue, purple and scarlet, the work of a color weaver, as Adonai commanded Moses.
30Finally they made the plate of the holy coronet from pure gold, and wrote an inscription on it, like the engraving of a signet seal: HOLY TO Adonai.
31They tied to it a blue thread, to fasten onto the turban above, as Adonai commanded Moses.
32So all the work of the Tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, was finished. Bnei-Yisrael did everything according to what Adonai had commanded Moses—they did it just so.
33Then they brought the Tabernacle to Moses, along with the tent and all of its furnishings, its clasps, its boards, its crossbars, its pillars, and its bases;
34along with the covering of ram skins dyed red, and the covering of sealskins, the veil of the curtain;
35as well as the Ark of the Testimony with its poles, and the atonement cover;
36the table and all of its utensils, the showbread;
37the pure menorah with its lamps to be set in order, along with all of its utensils, and oil for the light;
38the golden altar, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, and the curtain for the entrance of the tent;
39the bronze altar, its grating and its poles along with all of its utensils, and the basin and its base;
40the hangings for the courtyard, with its pillars, its bases and the curtain for the gate of the courtyard, with its cords and its pegs, along with all the instruments for the service of the Tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting;
41as well as the woven garments for ministering in the Sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the kohen and for his sons to serve as kohanim.
42According to everything that Adonai had commanded Moses, Bnei-Yisrael had done all the work just so.
43When Moses saw the entire work, and that they had done it just as Adonai had commanded, Moses blessed them.

Making the Priestly Garments
1From the #ch. 35:23, 25 blue and purple and scarlet yarns they made #ver. 41; ch. 31:10; 35:19 finely woven garments,#39:1 Or garments for worship for ministering in the Holy Place. They made the holy garments for Aaron, #ch. 28:2-4as the Lord had commanded Moses.
2 # For ver. 2-7, see ch. 28:6-12 He made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. 3And they hammered out gold leaf, and he cut it into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet yarns, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design. 4They made for the ephod attaching shoulder pieces, joined to it at its two edges. 5And the skillfully woven band on it was of one piece with it and made like it, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6They made the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold filigree, and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7And he set them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
8 # For ver. 8-21, see ch. 28:15-28 He made the breastpiece, in skilled work, in the style of the ephod, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. 9It was square. They made the breastpiece doubled, a span#39:9 A span was about 9 inches or 22 centimeters its length and a span its breadth when doubled. 10And they set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle was the first row; 11and the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold filigree. 14There were twelve stones with their names according to the names of the sons of Israel. They were like signets, each engraved with its name, for the twelve tribes. 15And they made on the breastpiece twisted chains like cords, of pure gold. 16And they made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two edges of the breastpiece. 17And they put the two cords of gold in the two rings at the edges of the breastpiece. 18They attached the two ends of the two cords to the two settings of filigree. Thus they attached it in front to the shoulder pieces of the ephod. 19Then they made two rings of gold, and put them at the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inside edge next to the ephod. 20And they made two rings of gold, and attached them in front to the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, at its seam above the skillfully woven band of the ephod. 21And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, so that it should lie on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece should not come loose from the ephod, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 # For ver. 22-26, see ch. 28:31-34 He also made the robe of the ephod woven all of blue, 23and the opening of the robe in it was like the opening in a garment, with a binding around the opening, so that it might not tear. 24On the hem of the robe they made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. 25They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around the hem of the robe, between the pomegranates— 26a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate around the hem of the robe for ministering, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
27 # ch. 28:39, 40, 42 They also made the coats, woven of fine #Ezek. 44:18linen, for Aaron and his sons, 28and the #[See ver. 27 above]turban of fine linen, and the caps of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of fine twined linen, 29and the sash of fine twined linen and of blue and purple and scarlet yarns, embroidered with needlework, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 # ch. 28:36, 37; 29:6 They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription, like the engraving of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.” 31And they tied to it a cord of blue to fasten it on the turban above, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
32Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished, and the people of Israel did #ver. 42, 43; ch. 25:40according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did. 33Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its utensils, its hooks, its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 34the covering of tanned rams’ skins and goatskins, and the #ch. 35:12veil of the screen; 35the ark of the testimony with its poles and the mercy seat; 36the table with all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; 37#[ch. 25:31]the lampstand of pure gold and its lamps with the lamps set and all its utensils, and the oil for the light; 38#ch. 30:3; 37:26; 40:5, 26 the golden altar, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and #ch. 26:36; 36:37the screen for the entrance of the tent; 39the bronze altar, and its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils; the basin and its stand; 40#See ch. 27:9-15; 38:9-17 the hangings of the court, its pillars, and its bases, and the #ch. 27:16; 38:18 screen for the gate of the court, its #ch. 35:18cords, and its pegs; and all the utensils for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41the finely worked garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for their service as priests. 42#ch. 35:10According to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so the people of Israel had done all the work. 43And Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, so had they done it. Then Moses #Lev. 9:22, 23; Josh. 22:6; 2 Sam. 6:18; 1 Kgs. 8:14; 2 Chr. 6:3; 30:27; See Num. 6:23-27blessed them.
