Luke 5:27-28

Matthew, the former tax collector turned devoted disciple, and James the Less, the brother of Matthew, are both chosen as apostles by Jesus Christ. Matthew's story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of Christ's transformative grace. His swift response to Jesus' call is an inspiration for us to follow Christ immediately when He calls us to a higher purpose.

When you look at your life, what is driving your actions? In this reading plan, we will observe the works that Jesus did as He encountered three desperate people: a tax collector, a paralytic, and a leper. Each encounter reveals to us as Jesus' apprentices one aspect of how we are to model our lives after Him.

Repentance is one of the key actions we all take in coming to know Christ as our personal Savior. Repentance is our action and forgiveness is God's reaction to us out of His perfect love for us. During this 5-day reading plan, you will receive a daily Bible reading and a brief devotional designed to help you better understand the importance of repentance in our walk with Christ.
