This is the list of the descendants of Adam. (When God created human beings, he made them like himself. 2#Mt 19.4; Mk 10.6He created them male and female, blessed them, and named them “Humanity”.) 3When Adam was 130 years old, he had a son who was like him, and he named him Seth. 4After that, Adam lived another 800 years. He had other children 5and died at the age of 930.
6When Seth was 105, he had a son, Enosh, 7and then lived another 807 years. He had other children 8and died at the age of 912.
9When Enosh was ninety, he had a son, Kenan, 10and then lived another 815 years. He had other children 11and died at the age of 905.
12When Kenan was seventy, he had a son, Mahalalel, 13and then lived another 840 years. He had other children 14and died at the age of 910.
15When Mahalalel was 65, he had a son, Jared, 16and then lived another 830 years. He had other children 17and died at the age of 895.

21When Enoch was 65, he had a son, Methuselah. 22After that, Enoch lived in fellowship with God for 300 years and had other children. 23He lived to be 365 years old. 24#Heb 11.5; Jude 14He spent his life in fellowship with God, and then he disappeared, because God took him away.
25When Methuselah was 187, he had a son, Lamech, 26and then lived another 782 years. He had other children 27and died at the age of 969.
28When Lamech was 182, he had a son, 29and said, “From the very ground on which the LORD put a curse, this child will bring us relief from all our hard work”; so he named him Noah.#5.29 Noah: This name sounds like the Hebrew for “relief”. 30Lamech lived another 595 years. He had other children 31and died at the age of 777.
32After Noah was 500 years old, he had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

6When Seth had lived 105 years, #ch. 4:26he fathered Enosh. 7Seth lived after he fathered Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8Thus all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.
9When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan. 10Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.
12When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel. 13Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.
15When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared. 16Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.
18When Jared had lived 162 years, he fathered #Jude 14Enoch. 19Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.
21When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22Enoch #ver. 24; ch. 6:9; [Mic. 6:8; Mal. 2:6]walked with God#5:22 Septuagint pleased God; also verse 24 after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24Enoch #[See ver. 22 above] walked with God, and he was not,#5:24 Septuagint was not found #Heb. 11:5; [2 Kgs. 2:11]for God took him.
25When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech. 26Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.
28When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son 29and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground #ch. 3:17that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief#5:29 Noah sounds like the Hebrew for rest from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” 30Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.
