NEHEMÍAS 13:26

Today biblical manhood faces opposition. Let these five lessons from the book of Nehemiah teach you how to become God’s real man. Tim Clinton, president of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), draws from his knowledge as a licensed counselor and a marriage and family therapist.

In this 5-day devotional, we will walk through the final chapters of Nehemiah and see what real renewal looks like. From trusting God instead of what we build, to remembering his faithfulness, to living in obedience, this plan will help you move from intention to action. You will also be reminded that while we often fall short, our hope is not in ourselves, but in Jesus.

You might not be able to change the whole world, but you can change your part of it. What’s your purpose? What’s your story? What will God do through you? Find out through the experiences of Nehemiah in this Life.Church Bible Plan, accompanying Pastor Craig Groeschel’s message series, The Good Work.

In Deuteronomy 7:3–4, God warned Israel against marriages that would turn their hearts towards other gods. This plan shows that the issue was not ethnicity but worship, covenant faithfulness, and spiritual influence. Through Solomon, Ahab, Jezebel, Jehoram, Athaliah, Ezra and Nehemiah, we see what happened when Israel defied God’s command. Forbidden alliances introduced idolatry, weakened families and damaged nations. These accounts challenge believers to consider how marriage shapes faith, leadership, children and future generations, while trusting that God’s boundaries are given for protection, not punishment.
