Deuteronomy 4

4
1Now therefore hearken, O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do [them], that you2f may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of your fathers gives you.
2You2f shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you2f diminish [ought] from it, that you2f may keep the commandments of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] which I command you.
3Your eyes have seen what the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) did because of Ba’al-P’or [Lord of the Opening]: for all the men that followed Ba’al-P’or [Lord of the Opening], the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] has destroyed them from among you.
4But you2f that did cling to (hold onto; stick to) the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] [are] alive every one of you this day.
5Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) my God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] commanded me, that you2f should do so in the land to which you2f go to possess it.
6Keep therefore and do [them]; for this [is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation [is] a wise and understanding people.
7For what nation [is there so] great, who [has] God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] [so] near unto them, as the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] [is] in all [things that] we call upon him [for]?
8And what nation [is there so] great, that has statutes and judgments [so] righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9Only take heed to yourself, and keep youi soul diligently, lest youi forget the things which youi eyes have seen, and lest they depart from youi heart all the days of youi life: but teach them youi sons, and youi sons’ sons;
10 [Specially] the day that youi stood before the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] in Horev [Desert], when the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and [that] they may teach their children.
11And you2f came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto you out of the midst of the fire: you2f heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only [you2f heard] a voice.
13And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, [even] ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
14And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you2f might do them in the land to which you2f go over to possess it.
15Take you2f therefore good heed unto yourselves; for you2f saw no manner of similitude on the day [that] the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto you in Horev [Desert] out of the midst of the fire:
16Lest you2f corrupt [yourselves], and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17The likeness of any beast that [is] on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flies in the air,
18The likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that [is] in the waters beneath the earth:
19And lest youi lift up youi eyes unto heaven, and when youi see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, [even] all the army of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] has divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
20But the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, [even] out of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place], to be unto him a people of inheritance, as [you2f are] this day.
21Furthermore the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over Yarden [Descender], and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] gives youi [for] an inheritance:
22But I must die in this land, I must not go over Yarden [Descender]: but you2f shall go over, and possess that good land.
23Take heed unto yourselves, lest you2f forget the covenant of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], which he made with you, and make you a graven image, [or] the likeness of any [thing], which the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] has forbidden youi.
24For the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] [is] a consuming fire, [even] a jealous God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered].
25When youi shall beget (to be father of; be ancestor of) children, and children’s children, and you2f shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt [yourselves], and make a graven image, [or] the likeness of any [thing], and shall do evil in the sight of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], to provoke him to anger:
26I call heaven and earth that is to sayness against you this day, that you2f shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you2f go over Yarden [Descender] to possess it; you2f shall not prolong [your] days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
27And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) shall scatter you among the nations, and you2f shall be left few in number among the heathen, to which the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) shall lead you.
28And there you2f shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29But if from there youi shall seek the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], youi shall find [him], if youi seek him with all youi heart and with all youi soul.
30When youi are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon youi, [even] in the latter days, if youi turn to the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and shall be obedient unto his voice;
31(For the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] [is] a merciful God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered];) he will not forsake youi, neither destroy youi, nor forget the covenant of youi fathers which he swore unto them.
32For ask now of the days that are past, which were before youi, since the day that God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] created man upon the earth, and [ask] from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there has been [any such thing] as this great thing [is], or has been heard like it?
33Did [ever] people hear the voice of God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] speaking out of the midst of the fire, as youi have heard, and live?
34Or has God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] assayed (attempted; tested; analyzed) to go [and] take him a nation from the midst of [another] nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] did for you in Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place] before your eyes?
35Unto youi it was showed, that youi might know that the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) he [is] God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]; [there is] none else beside him.
36Out of heaven he made youi to hear his voice, that he might instruct youi: and upon earth he showed youi his great fire; and youi heard his words out of the midst of the fire.
37And because he loved youi fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought youi out in his sight with his mighty power out of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place];
38To drive out nations from before youi greater and mightier than youi [are], to bring youi in, to give youi their land [for] an inheritance, as [it is] this day.
39Know therefore this day, and consider [it] in youi heart, that the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) he [is] God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: [there is] none else.
40youi shall keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command youi this day, that it may go well with youi, and with youi children after youi, and that youi may prolong [youi] days upon the earth, which the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] gives youi, forever.
41Then Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] severed three cities on this side Yarden [Descender] toward the sunrising;
42That the slayer might flee there, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live:
43 [Namely], Betzer [Remote Fortress] in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Re’uveni [behold, a son!]; and Ramot [Heights] in Gil’ad [Rocky Region], of the Gadi [my fortune] [A Troop]; and Golan [Their Captivity] in Bashan [Fruitful], of the M’nasheh [Causing to Forget].
44And this [is] the law which Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] set before the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]:
45These [are] the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] spoke unto the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], after they came forth out of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place],
46On this side Yarden [Descender], in the valley over against Beit-P’or [House of the Cleft (split hoof; an opening, break or split)], in the land of Sichon [Warrior] king of the Emori [Highlanders], who dwelt at Heshbon [Stronghold], whom Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] struck, after they were come forth out of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place]:
47And they possessed his land, and the land of ‘Og [Long-necked] king of Bashan [Fruitful], two kings of the Emori [Highlanders], which [were] on this side Yarden [Descender] toward the sunrising;
48From ‘Aeo’er [Ruins], which [is] by the bank of the river ‘Arnon [Rushing Stream], even unto mount Si’on [Lofty], which [is] Hermon [A Sanctuary],
49And all the plain on this side Yarden [Descender] eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah [Cleft (split hoof; an opening, break or split) Mountain Range].
