Z'kharyah (Zec) 4

1Then the angel that had been speaking with me returned and roused me, as if he were waking someone up from being asleep, 2and asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I’ve been looking at a menorah; it’s all of gold, with a bowl at its top, seven lamps on it, and seven tubes leading to the lamps at its top. 3Next to it are two olive trees, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left.” 4I then asked the angel speaking with me, “What are these, my Lord?” The angel speaking with me said, 5“Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my Lord.” 6Then he answered me, “This is the word of Adonai to Z’rubavel: ‘Not by force, and not by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Adonai-Tzva’ot. 7‘What are you, you big mountain? Before Z’rubavel you will become a plain; and he will put the capstone in place, as everyone shouts, “It’s beautiful! Beautiful!”’ 8This message from Adonai came to me: 9‘The hands of Z’rubavel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will also finish it.’ Then you will know that Adonai-Tzva’ot sent me to you. 10For even someone who doesn’t think much of a day when such minor events take place will rejoice at seeing the plumbline in the hand of Z’rubavel. So these seven are the eyes of Adonai that range about over all the earth.”

11I replied by asking him, “What are those two olive trees on the right and left sides of the menorah?” 12Then I asked the question again: “What are those two olive branches discharging gold[-colored oil] through the two gold spouts?” 13He replied, “Don’t you know what they are?” I answered, “No, my Lord.” 14He said, “Those are the two who have been anointed with oil; they are standing with the Lord of all the land.”

스가랴 4

순금 등대와 두 감람나무

1나에게 말하던 천사가 다시 와서 나를 깨웠다. 마치 자다가 일어난 기분이었다.

2그가 나에게 이렇게 물었다. “네가 무엇을 보느냐?” “내가 보니 순금 등대가 있고 그 꼭대기에는 주발 하나가 있으며 또 그 등대에는 일곱 등잔이 있고 등대 꼭대기에서 일곱 개의 관이 각 등잔으로 연결되어 있으며

3그 등대 곁에는 두 감람나무가 있는데 하나는 주발 오른편에 있고 하나는 그 왼편에 있습니다.

4그런데 내 주여, 이것이 무엇입니까?”

5“이것들이 무엇인지 네가 모르느냐?” “내 주여, 모르겠습니다.”

6“여호와께서는 스룹바벨에게 ‘힘으로도 되지 않고 능력으로도 되지 않으며 오직 내 영으로 된다’ 고 말씀하신다.

7 # 4:7 원문에는 ‘큰 산아 네가 무엇이냐?’ 그러므로 산이 아무리 높아도 스룹바벨 앞에서 평지가 될 것이며 그가 성전 건축을 마칠 때에는 모든 것이 하나님의 은혜로 되었다고 사람들이 외칠 것이다.”

8여호와께서 또 나에게 말씀하셨다.

9“스룹바벨이 이 성전의 기초를 놓았으므로 그가 그것을 완성할 것이다. 이런 일이 일어나면 이것이 전능한 나 여호와의 말임을 네가 알게 될 것이다.

10보잘것없는 일이라고 멸시하는 자가 누구냐? 그 일곱 등잔은 온 세상을 살피는 나 여호와의 눈이다. 스룹바벨의 손에 다림줄이 있는 것을 보면 #4:10 또는 ‘이 일곱이’사람들이 기뻐할 것이다.”

11그때 나는 천사에게 다시 물었다. “등대 좌우에 있는 이 두 감람나무는 무슨 뜻입니까?

12감람기름이 흘러내리는 두 금관 옆에 있는 이 두 감람나무 가지는 무슨 뜻입니까?”

13“네가 이것이 무엇인지 모르느냐?” “내 주여, 모르겠습니다.”

14“이것들은 기름 부음을 받아 온 세상의 주를 섬기는 두 사람을 가리킨다.”
